Dermal fillers, as the name suggests, is used to fill recessed, facial areas. It is a temporary, relatively painless procedure with immediate results.

A quick fix to soften facial wrinkles, plump lips and fill out any recessed facial areas. Fillers work by adding small amounts of volume along the crease or depressions. This volume plumps up the skin and reduces or eliminates the recessed area/crease.

The Juvéderm® ULTRA range of products is the only line of hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers that offers customisable results proven to last up 8 to 18 months. It's currently the only HA filler to include an anaesthetic that makes the experience more comfortable for you. It is also very smooth and natural looking, meaning that although people may notice a difference, they won't know you've had anything done!

JUVEDERM® VOLLURE™ with Lidocaine the latest addition to the Juvéderm range of hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers produced using the unique VYCROSS™ technology. This provides a versatile treatment option for patients who are looking for a discreet, natural look with minimal swelling and long-lasting result.

Over time, the cheeks, chin and jawline area can be impacted by the natural ageing process: a loss of volume or definition, and the appearance of 'static' wrinkles such as deeper nasolabial folds are among the key ageing concerns.

JUVEDERM® VOLLURE™ with Lidocaine is designed to smooth deep wrinkles for a refreshed look, as well as gently restoring natural-looking contours in the lower face.

Contouring and the treatment of deep skin depressions such as nasolabial folds, JUVEDERM® VOLLURE™ with Lidocaine provides a new treatment option estimated to deliver smooth, long-lasting results for up to 18 months.

A more effective cross-linking allows for a lower concentration of HA to be used, which results in less swelling and a smoother, defined appearance that also gives a greater lift than other Hyaluronic Acid fillers.

It also includes Lidocaine to ensure a more comfortable application.

  • Effects are visible immediately after injection.

  • Our fillers are reversible and non-permanent, although with ongoing treatment the time interval between successive treatments will extend as skin repairs itself beneath the folds and creases.

  • Following your injection there may be some redness, bruising and swelling.

  • Side effects if they occur are usually mild or moderate and include swelling, tenderness at the injection site and lumps/bumps. These usually resolve in a few days.

JUVEDERM® VOLBELLA™ is a new facial filler specifically designed for gently restoring natural-looking lip volume and defining lip contours. This new formulation results in less swelling and delivers a natural look and feel. The effect is instant and long lasting. It is clinically proven to last up to a year in the lips with a single 1 ml treatment.

JUVEDERM® VOLBELLA™ is made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring sugar found in your body which helps maintain volume and elasticity in the skin. It is broken down by the body in one or two days and is constantly replaced.

However, as we age, this replacement mechanism diminishes and the moisturizing and plumping effects of HA decrease. For this reason, HA is used in dermal filler procedures to help restore lost hydration and improve the skin's volume and texture.

What makes this filler unique is its patented Vycross technology which, through more efficient cross linking, produces greater lift capacity and longer lasting results.

Donna will have an in-depth consultation to understand your concern and what facial features you would like to enhance. She will explain all the options to make sure that your treatment satisfies your expectations.

JUVEDERM® VOLUMA™, is the only FDA approved filler specifically developed for the cheek area. Now we have a new treatment that can help correct age-related volume loss, in addition to the other JUVEDERM® products which help to smooth away wrinkles and folds in the lower-face.

JUVEDERM® VOLUMA™ is made with Allergan's proprietary VYCROSS™ technology, an advanced manufacturing process which results in a smooth gel that flows easily and consistently.

This unique formulation contributes to the lift capacity to correct volume loss in the cheek area which is caused by ageing.

Additionally, JUVEDERM® VOLUMA™ contains a small amount of lidocaine which helps to numb the area during treatment.

The most common side effects include temporary injection-site tenderness, swelling, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising & redness. They were predominantly moderate, with a duration of two to four weeks.

What is Jessner Peel?

A Jessner peel is a medium depth chemical peel that is done by a dermatologist. It is one of the most effective peels to remove superficial layers of the skin. It can be used on all types of skin to treat sun damaged skin, ageing skin, and lighten areas of hyper pigmentation. A Jessner Peel is great for those with acne, thick skin, skin discoloration, moderate wrinkles, and oily skin. Oil production will be decreased and clogged sebaceous follicles will be opened. A Jessner Peel works great for those with dull skin, white spots on the face, and lip creases.

A Jessner peel combines lactic acid, salicylic acid and resorcinol to exfoliate the skin and penetrate deeper into the skin’s layers. A Jessner peel is for both men and woman who have acne, fine lines or uneven skin tones. It is not recommended for those with
darker skin tones.

Jessner Peel Benefits

There are many benefits of a Jessner Peel. A Jessner Peel can help to not only reduce the appearance of acne, but also reduce hyper pigmentation of the skin. Fine lines and wrinkles can be smoothed out, and the skin will be given a youthful glow. The
complexion will be improved greatly, and pores may be reduced in size. A Jessner Peel can be used to assists with treatment of Melasma.

How Is Jessner Peel Applied?

To begin a Jessner Peel, the skin will first be cleansed with a glycolic cleanser, which will remove dirt, oil, and the outer layer of the skin called the horny layer. The solution of Lactic Acid (used for exfoliation), Salicylic Acid (used for penetration), and Resorcinol (used for treatment of acne) is applied to the skin. More than one layer of the mixture may be applied depending on how severe the skin that is being treated is. For most, 2 to 5 coats will be applied. A white frost will appear on the skin, but will disappear within a few hours. The peel will then be neutralised and rinsed off with cool water. A calming mask will then be applied to the skin. The skin will peel for about a week after the treatment is done. While one treatment is usually only needed, the process can be repeated in 4 week intervals. Dry skin will usually result from a Jessner Peel right away, and the skin will be tight and red. Skin could also be sensitive. Do note that moisturiser should not be used for a few days after the treatment as this might lessen the effects of the peel.

Jessner Peel Side Effects

Side effects of the Jessner Peel include infection to the skin if peeling skin is removed prematurely, mild redness, temporary swelling of the area, and itching. Cold sores could also appear, but will only appear if you are already susceptible to them.

There are some that are not good candidates for a Jessner Peel. Those include anyone that has a sunburn, cold sores, or severe asthma. Those with Lupus, Rosacea, Eczema, and Psoriasis will not be able to have a Jessner Peel done. Those with severe cystic inflamed acne should not have this procedure done. Pregnant woman, those that are breastfeeding, and those with chronic skin conditions will not be good candidates for a Jessner Peel. If there are skin lesions or broken skin, the Jessner Peel will not be able to be performed. If one has used Accutane in the past 6 months, a Jessner Peel will not be performed. Those taking vitamin A topical need to be off them for atleast one week prior to a treatment.
